MEETING MINUTES
June 12, 2012
CALL TO ORDER:
The June Board Meeting of the Northwest Choral Society was held at Little Villa Restaurant, 660 N. Wolf Road, Des Plaines, IL. The meeting was called to order at 8:58 PM by NWCS board vice president Mary Jane Matecki. The following board members were present:
David Hitch John Schindler
Noreen LaValle Diane Szuberla
Mary Jane Matecki Ruta Veitmanis
Candy Mealer
MEETING MINUTES:
Candy Mealer made a motion to postpone the review of meeting minutes from May 8th and June 2nd until the next board meeting. John Schindler seconded the motion. The motion passed.
CONCERT TICKET REPORT:
Diane Szuberla stated that the income from ticket sales for the June concerts was $5136.27. A full report will follow at the next board meeting.
BAKE SALE REPORT:
The total income from our two June bake sales was $625.00 – Saturday night $315.00 and Sunday afternoon $310.00.
NOMINATION AND ELECTION OF 2012 – 2013 OFFICERS:
The main purpose of this meeting was to elect officers to the Board for the 2012 – 2013 season. The officers were elected as follows:

Mary Jane then asked if there were any other nominations for these offices. No names were forthcoming. Diane Szuberla then made a motion to accept the above slate of candidates. John Schindler seconded the motion. By voice vote of “aye” from the members present, the above slate of candidates was elected as o
fficers to the board of NWCS. There were no “nay” votes.
ASSIGNMENT OF COMMITTEE CHAIRS:
Noreen LaValle made a motion to postpone the assignment of committee chairs until the next board meeting. Ruta Veitmanis seconded the motion. The motion passed.
NEXT MEETING:
· Our next board meeting will be July 17th at the home of Penny Perles.
· The date of our August board meeting is still in question, but may be on the 7th. Mary Jane Matecki has offered her home for the meeting.
ADJOURNMENT:
The Board Meeting was adjourned at 9:23 PM by a motion from Noreen LaValle and a second from Candy Mealer. The motion passed.
