MEETING MINUTES
August 20, 2013
CALL TO ORDER:
An impromptu Board Meeting of the Northwest Choral Society was held at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 1095 Dempster/Thacker, Des Plaines, IL. The meeting was called to order at 9:02 PM by NWCS Board President Penny Perles. The following board members were present:

Also present: Alan Wellman, Artistic Director, and Lori Lyn Mackie, Collaborative Pianist
NEW GRAPHIC DESIGNER AND WEBMASTER:
Chorus member Robyn Waldman Borek’s husband, Gerald Borek, applied for this position and presented his portfolio. He is a photographer and has website experience. Board members were pleased with his work, however, all of his layouts contained photographs, not graphics. Jerry is eager to work with us and immediately available. Also, as a chorus member’s husband, he will have a better idea of our needs. Since appropriate graphics should be available on the internet, the board members agreed to give him the job through the December concert. We will offer him $250 for designing the program book, tickets and posters for the December concert and $150.00 for designing the season brochure and our website.
ADJOURNMENT:
The Board Meeting was adjourned at 9:20 PM by a motion from Noreen and a second from John. The motion passed.
