NORTHWEST CHORAL SOCIETY
MEETING MINUTES
CALL TO ORDER:
The April 2019 Part 1 Board Meeting of the Northwest Choral Society was held on April 9th, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church at 668 Graceland Rd., Des Plaines. The meeting was called to order at 6:41 PM by NWCS President Penny Perles. The following board members were present:

Also Present: Kevin Kelly, Lori Mackie
MEETING MINUTES:
- Meeting minutes for the March 2019 board meetign will be presented at the second April 2019 board meeting on April 23rd.
TREASURER’S REPORT:
- Noreen LaValle presented the treasurer’s report for March 2019. Cash disbursements totaled $6,486.70. Cash receipts totaled $2,996.71. Our regular account now has $23,240.39. Including petty cash, our final total was $23,275.39. Mary Jane Matecki made a motion to approve the March 2019 treasurer’s report. Diane Szuberla seconded the motion. The motion passed.
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR:
- The NWCS website should be updated to be able to easily sell tickets to the choir’s concerts.
- Pre-sale of the tickets should have a 20% discount. $20 Adults, $16 Students/Seniors.
- WFMT will be giving away 2 tickets to the June 2019 concert.
- 2019-2020 NWCS concert program will most likely be in the June 2019 program book.
- Possibly Spring concert should also be on Sundays at 4pm, similar to December concerts.
- Saturday rehearsal for June 2019 concert needs to be rescheduled as Kevin has a conflict. The choir will be contacted with possible new saturday rehearsal dates.
NEXT MEETING:
- Our next Board Meeting will be 6:30 PM Tuesday, April 23rd, 2019 at First United Methodist.
ADJOURNMENT:
The Board Meeting was adjourned at 7:27 PM by a motion from Noreen LaValle and a second from Angela Carlson. The motion passed.
