Northwest Choral Society’s opening concert of the 2023-24 season, “Voice & Verse”, centers around music that celebrates the almost magical union of words and song. Cornerstones of the program are the “Serenade to Music” of Ralph Vaughan Williams, and C.H.H. Parry’s exuberant setting of Milton’s great text, “Blest pair of Sirens.” Choral music of Howells, Finzi, Alice Parker, Moses Hogan, and others will explore the possibilities of text and tune!
